Joe Burrow says he has no problem with trash-talking between the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs as he believes it is making the game "more fun." Throughout the entire last week, the Bengals and Chiefs players were going back and forth with their trash-talk.
Also, there was a lot of trash talk during and after the game. But the Chiefs had the last laugh after beating the Bengals 23-20 to progress into the Super Bowl. “I just think that’s what makes football fun.
It’s all love at the end of the day. They know the respect that we have for them and I know the respect that they have for us. It’s an intense, emotional game. Things like that are going to happen, but I think that’s why the game is fun," Burrow said, per Pro Football Talk.
Burrow: We will have more big games against the Chiefs
Last year, the Bengals upset the Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game in Kansas City. This past Sunday, the Chiefs got their revenge by beating the Bengals in the AFC Championship Game.
The Bengals and Chiefs have now met in back-to-back AFC Championship Games and Burrow believes there will be more big games between the two teams. “I think you can expect that. We know the kind of team they have, the kind of quarterback they have, and the kind of coaches they have.
We expect to be back there and I think they do too," Burrow added. Meanwhile, Burrow suffered his first defeat against Patrick Mahomes. Prior to the AFC Championship Game, Burrow had a perfect 3-0 record against Mahomes. Going into the game, some Bengals players revealed there were calling Chiefs' Arrowhead "Burrowhead." Mahomes certainly heard all the talk regarding his record against Burrow as he was evidently determined to get his first win against the Bengals quarterback. In the Super Bowl, the Chiefs will be taking on the Philadelphia Eagles.
