Jalen Hurts says he is not concerned about the New York Giants potentially targeting his troublesome shoulder. Hurts, who missed games in Weeks 16 and 17 due to a right shoulder sprain, returned to action in Week 18 and he is set to start for the Philadelphia Eagles when they host the New York Giants in the divisional round this Saturday.

Going into the game, Hurts was asked whether he fears the Giants' players targeting his right shoulder. "It's football. I've got a bounty on me every week I go out there on the field. So, I'm going to go out there and just play my game, and whatever happens, happens," Hurts said, per ESPN.

Jordan Malata, a left tackle for the Eagles, vowed to do his best to protect Hurts against the Giants. "If he's got a bounty, I've got a bounty. It's my job to make sure that bounty isn't claimed and do everything I can to execute the right technique and the right plays, and make sure he stays clean and I stay dirty," Malata said.

Hurts not taking the Giants lightly

In early December the Eagles beat the Giants on the road 48-22. In Week 18, the Eagles defeated the Giants on their home field 22-16. Even though the Eagles have beaten the Giants twice this year, Hurts insists the Giants are a good team.

"We know we're playing a really good team; they have a really good defense, and they do a lot of really good things -- that's on both sides of the ball. We know we have to come prepared, put in a great week of preparation to go out there and play well Saturday," Hurts said.

Last Sunday, the Giants defeated the Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round. On the other side, the Eagles had a first-round bye and they are kicking their playoff run this week. It remains to be seen if Hurts can lead the Eagles to a win over the Giants in the divisional round.
