Bucks' Giannis Antetokounmpo prefers to stay 'lowkey'

Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo insists he is not a big fan of attention as he prefers to stay lowkey and simply enjoy basketball. On Saturday, the Bucks beat the San Antonio Spurs 120-113 and it was the Bucks' 11th win in their last 12 games.

Antetokounmpo scored 26 points, had 15 assists and eight rebounds in a win over the Spurs. "We don't play for people to talk about us," Antetokounmpo claimed, per ESPN. "I kind of like it. I just want to be left alone.

I never liked bright lights. I never liked people talking about us. It just adds pressure to me and my teammates to come in and do what we do. "I kind of like to be under the radar and we just come in, enjoy one another, enjoy playing basketball and we're just getting the job done.

But, yeah, there's gonna be times they're gonna talk about us, there's gonna be times they're not gonna talk about us, but personally, as I said, I just like being under the radar." The game against the Spurs also marked the debut of P.J.

Tucker in a Bucks jersey. "He's great. You can hear him everywhere," said Bucks guard Jrue Holiday, who finished with 21 points and five rebounds. "You can hear him even when he's on the bench, but out there on the court it's really fun.

You love a guy that communicates in that way. He's loud, very clear and distinctive and makes the game a lot easier."

Antetokounmpo just wants to have fun

After beating the Philadelphia 76ers a few days ago, Antetokounmpo said having fun is something he wants to do on the court.

"Is there something wrong with having fun?" Antetokoumnpo said. "I don't think there's anything wrong with having fun. I just like to have fun. In the first half, I was not having fun. I kind of, you know, talked to myself at the half and said, 'No matter how bad the game is, you can't forget what you have to do, which is have fun.'

"Obviously, there's a couple times where I exaggerate, but I don't want to take anything back. I wasn't thinking, 'Oh, I'm going to sit down.' I was having fun. I was talking to my teammates -- I was talking to them.

I was just trying to be in the moment. But I was just having fun." After bearing the Spurs, Antetokounmpo more or less said the same. "We're just gonna keep doing what we're doing," Antetokounmpo said. "We just keep enjoying each other and keep playing to win games and playing the right way."
