In an exciting match against the Charlotte Hornets, the Denver Nuggets showed their strength, securing a convincing 111-93 victory in front of the home crowd. The game saw a late spark from Denver, and the turning point came in the third quarter.

The NBA champions showed their resilience by winning the third of four straight home games around the holiday, finishing 24-18, 25-31, 40-17 and 22-27 in each quarter. Jamal Murray and Michael Porter have emerged as the leading scorers for the Nuggets, providing the team with the necessary firepower to outscore opponents.

Murray's 25 points and Porter's 22 showed their offensive prowess, leading the offense for Denver. Nikola Jokic, Denver's standout player, performed with 13 points, 11 defensive rebounds and six assists. His dominance at both ends of the pitch was evident, making a significant impact at key moments in the game.

The first half ended in a 49-49 tie, reflecting the intense competition between the two teams, it was literally point for point. Jokić's rhythm in the opening periods foreshadowed the exciting showdown that took place later in the game, but Denver's best player was not as we are used to, but that's why his teammates stood out.

The Hornets were powerless

In this home game, the Nuggets showed their ability to adjust and play their best in key moments, breaking the game open in the second half. The standout moment in the second leg was the significant improvement in the performance of Jamal Murray, who reached an impressive 25 points, while Michael Porter contributed significantly with 22 points.

Reggie Jackson and returning Aaron Gordon also played key roles, scoring 13 and 10 points, respectively. In short, the Denver Nuggets showed their resilience and determination, securing a dominant victory over the Charlotte Hornets.

Some ten days ago, they also beat the Hornets, but this time away. Charlotte continues to struggle this season and currently sits at 7 wins and 24 losses. No one expected such bad results from the Hornets team, but that is what makes the NBA the most popular and interesting league in the world. It's too early to say, but it seems that the Hornets can hardly do anything more with this kind of game.
