Golden State Warriors' forward Draymond Green is once again in the spotlight following his ejection from Tuesday's game against the Phoenix Suns. The incident, which involved Green hitting Jusuf Nurkic in the face, has sparked controversy and raised questions about his conduct on the court.

Green, who was sent off in the third quarter, insists that his action was unintentional, merely an attempt to emphasize a foul call. "I was swinging away to sell the call," Green explained. "I apologize to Jusuf because I didn’t intend to hit him." This acknowledgement differs from his previous altercation with Rudy Gobert, where Green did not concede any mistake.

Nurkic, however, expressed his concerns postgame about Green's behavior, suggesting that the Warriors forward might need assistance given the nature of the incident.

"What he did was clearly not a basketball play," Nurkic stated, questioning Green's intent regardless of his explanation.

This ejection adds to a challenging season for Green, who has been ejected three times and is facing the possibility of a second suspension.

His aggressive playstyle and temperament have become a significant factor for the Warriors, who have struggled in games without him, holding a 2-5 record in his absence due to ejections or suspensions. Suns head coach Frank Vogel echoed these sentiments, labeling the play as "reckless and dangerous." He expressed concern for player safety and supported the referees' decision.

"The league will do what they have to do," Vogel remarked, hinting at a potential lengthy suspension for Green. The NBA has not yet released a statement regarding Green's ejection or the possibility of a suspension. However, given the nature of the incident and Green's history, a severe penalty seems likely.

Such a suspension could be a significant blow to the Warriors, who are already facing a challenging season and heavily rely on Green's presence on the court. This situation underscores the fine line between aggressive play and unacceptable conduct in professional basketball.

As the league deliberates on the appropriate response, the incident serves as a reminder of the importance of maintaining sportsmanship and player safety in the high-stakes environment of the NBA.
