The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Los Angeles Lakers in a Western Conference clash, securing a hard-fought 127-125 victory. Luka Doncic, Tim Hardaway Jr. and Dante Exum led the Mavs offense, combining for a whopping 91 points, leading their team to its fourth straight victory.

In the first half, the Mavs took control, building a comfortable 15-point lead (76-61) by the end of the first half. However, the Lakers showed remarkable resilience, breaking through and entering the final period with a small lead of 95-93.

The tension escalated in the fourth quarter when LeBron James tied the game at 108 with 6:40 left. However, this only served as a prelude to a stalling Mavs performance. Doncic orchestrated the attack, providing assists to Exum, who scored, putting the Mavs back in the lead.

Hardaway Jr. joined the scoring spree, burying another 3-pointer after an Exum layup, cementing the Mavs' lead at 127-121. With Kyrie Irving sidelined with an injury, Exum took advantage of the opportunity to produce a career-high performance in the NBA.

He finished with 26 points (7/9 from three), which practically proved that the coach can seriously count on him. In a short time he fit into the team, showing his shooting prowess.

Good shooting night

Doncic led the Mavs attack with 33 points, 17 assists and 6 rebounds, while Hardaway Jr.

scored 32 points. Anthony Davis led the Lakers with 37 points and 11 rebounds, while LeBron James scored 33 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Despite their strong individual plays, the Lakers were ultimately unable to overcome the Mavs' offensive firepower.

The win extends the Mavs' winning streak to four and solidifies their position as third in the Western Conference at 15-8. The Lakers, meanwhile, remained in sixth place with a score of 14-10. The Dallas Mavericks face the Minnesota Timberwolves in the next match and the Los Angeles Lakers take on the San Antonio Spurs.

Both teams look to continue their strong starts to the season. It may not be an ideal start, but they are certainly in a good position to fight for the playoffs, even though the Lakers could supposedly qualify directly for the playoffs due to winning the NBA Cup. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed.
