In the program of the NBA League, five games were held, of which three home and two visiting teams emerged as winners. The evening ended with the highly anticipated matchup between the Denver Nuggets and the Phoenix Suns. The Toronto Raptors' recent struggles continued as they fell to the New York Knicks 106-119.

The Raptors led at halftime, but succumbed to a dominant third quarter by the Knicks. Toronto fell to 9-11 and is out of the play-in zone, while New York improved to 12-7 and currently holds fifth place in the Eastern Conference.

Jalen Brunson topped the Knicks with 22 points, 5 rebounds and 8 assists. Donte DiVincenzo added 21 points, and Julius Randle added 20 points, 10 rebounds and 9 assists. Scottie Barnes led the Raptors with 29 points and 9 rebounds, while Pascal Siakam scored 21 points and 8 rebounds.

San Antonio continues its losing streak

The San Antonio Spurs' woes continued as they extended their losing streak to 13 games with a 121-106 loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. Despite early promise this season, Spurs have struggled to find consistency and now face a frighteningly uphill battle to make the playoffs.

Jonas Valanciunas led the Pelicans with 24 points and 12 rebounds, while CJ McCollum added 19 points and 8 assists. For the Spurs, Devin Vassell led the way with 14 points, and eight other players scored in double figures.

Boston better than Philadelphia

The East Derby took place without the sick Joel Embiid, which made the job easier for the Boston Celtics. The Philadelphia 76ers were defeated 125:119, so they are now three wins behind the Celtics at the top of the conference.

Jayson Tatum and Derrick White were the most effective with 21 points each, while Jaylen Brown and Al Horford scored 20 each. In a team that didn't even play Tyris Mexey, Patrick Beverley scored 26 with 8 rebounds and 7 assists, while Diandre Melton scored 21.

Orlando Magic is still right next to the Celtics after the series of nine celebrations extended against the Washington Wizards (130:125). Franz Wagner is playing in the form of his life, so he was the most effective individual of the evening with 31 points (8 assists and 7 rebounds), while Paolo Bankero added 28 with 13 rebounds and 7 assists for points.

Kyle Kuzma scored 27 on the opposite side. Luka Doncic had a child, and the Dallas Mavericks lost to the Memphis Grizzlies 108:94 without him. Desmond Bane was the best scorer with 30 points, and no one in the home team scored more than 16.
