The Atlanta Hawks continued their strong start to the season, securing their ninth win with a thrilling 137-135 win over the San Antonio Spurs. The Hawks' road triumph was led by the unstoppable Trae Young, who put in a phenomenal performance, especially in the final quarter of the game.

Young's dominance was evident throughout the match as he scored 45 points, hitting 15 of his 29 field goal attempts. In addition to his shooting ability, Young also recorded 14 assists, he was in a great mood for the game.

His contribution proved to be decisive in the closing stages of the game, as he drew a crucial foul on Jeremy Sochan with 2.7 seconds left to seal the win for Atlanta. The remarkable performance marked Young's 12th career game with at least 40 points and 10 assists, tying him with NBA legends LeBron James and Allen Iverson on the all-time list.

Young's ability to take over games and lead his team to victory is something he has already accustomed us to. De'Andre Hunter provided solid support for Young, contributing 24 points to the Hawks' winning effort. His offensive contributions were important in maintaining Atlanta's lead throughout the game.

Sochan and Vassell most effective in Spurs

Despite the Hawks' dominance, the Spurs fought bravely, with Jeremy Sochan leading the charge. Sochan showed his versatility, finishing the game with 33 points, eight rebounds and six assists.

Devin Vassell also had a significant impact, scoring 25 points for the Spurs. Keldon Johnson contributed a double-double of 22 points and 11 rebounds, while Victor Wembanyama continued his impressive rookie season with a double-double of 21 points and 12 rebounds.

Despite their individual performances, the Spurs were unable to overcome the combined effort of the Hawks and fell to a 3-15 record. The victory for the Hawks cemented their position as one of the top contenders in the NBA's Eastern Conference.

As the season progresses, the Hawks will undoubtedly look to keep their momentum going and continue their playoff quest. San Antonio needs to improve team play and spirit, because regardless of great individuals, they cannot make a breakthrough and start winning.
