In a thrilling encounter at Crypto.com Arena, the Denver Nuggets emerged victorious over the Los Angeles Clippers, overcoming a late deficit to secure a crucial win. Despite missing star Nikola Jokic due to back pain, the Nuggets showed remarkable resilience, showing their determination.

The Clippers, led by Paul George and Leonard, came out firing, establishing an early lead. George, however, struggled throughout the game, shooting just 2 of 13 from the field and finishing with a disappointing six points.

Leonard, on the other hand, kept the Clippers in contention, scoring 31 points. Despite the Clippers' early dominance, the Nuggets remained steadfast. Reggie Jackson, a former Clipper, stepped up significantly, scoring 35 points, including a couple of clutch 3-pointers in the fourth quarter.

DeAndre Jordan, another former Clipper, also contributed significantly, adding 16 points and 13 rebounds.

The last quarter sealed the fate of the Clippers

The game became crucial in the last period. The Nuggets, who trailed by 11 points, mounted a remarkable comeback, outscoring the Clippers 34-20.

Jackson and Jordan led the offense, combining for 20 points in the decisive quarter. The Clippers' struggles continued in the final moments. They missed four key shots down the stretch, and Russell Westbrook uncharacteristically missed a free throw, compounding their woes.

James Harden also made some costly misses, ultimately sealing the Clippers' fate. The Nuggets' win is especially impressive given their recent road woes. While they boast an unbeaten record at home in Colorado, their performance away from home has been less than stellar.

On their recent trip to the Eastern Conference, they managed just one win in five games, leaving them with a 4-6 road record. Despite these challenges, the Nuggets have shown their ability to overcome adversity. Jokic's absence, although significant, did not shake their determination to win.

With Jokic expected to return for their next game against the Houston Rockets on Thursday, the Nuggets look poised to continue their winning ways. The Denver Nuggets' next game is against the Houston Rockets on Thursday.
