The Denver Nuggets continued their winning streak at home by defeating the San Antonio Spurs 132-120 last night. The Nuggets were led by Nikola Jokic, who had a record 39 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Michael Porter Jr. added 25 points and Reggie Jackson 20 points for Denver.

The Nuggets got off to a fast start, outscoring the Spurs 39-35 in the first quarter. They extended their lead well into the second quarter before the Spurs went on a run to cut the lead to halftime. The Nuggets played the third quarter well, and the Spurs set a slightly stronger pace in the fourth quarter and played their best quarter of the game.

However, it was not enough to avoid defeat by the current champions. For the Spurs, Victor Wembanyama had 22 points, 11 rebounds and 6 steals. He is the top pick in the 2023 NBA draft and is considered one of the most promising young players in the league.

However, his performance was not enough to prevent the Spurs from losing their 12th straight game. That's the third-longest losing streak in franchise history – San Antonio lost 13 straight in 1988-89. and 16 last season.

The Spurs are now 3-14 on the season and in last place in the Western Conference. Spurs can't find the right game for their team. The Nuggets are 11-6 and in fourth place in the Western Conference.

Jokic close to triple-double

Nikola Jokic was within reach of a triple-double for the Nuggets.

He had 39 points, 11 rebounds and 9 assists. Jokić is averaging 25.8 points, 11.7 rebounds and 9.4 assists per game this season. He is one of the leading candidates for the NBA MVP award. Michael Porter Jr. continued his hot streak with 25 points for the Nuggets.

Porter Jr. he is averaging 20.3 points per game this season. He is one of the most advanced players in the NBA. Reggie Jackson provided a spark off the bench for the Nuggets with 20 points. Jackson is averaging 10.8 points per game this season.

He is a valuable player for the Nuggets. The Denver Nuggets' next game is against the Los Angeles Clippers on November 28 and The San Antonio Spurs' next game is against the Atlanta Hawks on December 1.
