The Indiana Pacers defeated the Atlanta Hawks 157-152 on Wednesday night to secure first place in Group A of the Eastern Conference in the NBA play-in tournament. Tyrese Halliburton led the Pacers with 37 points, 16 assists, five rebounds, and three steals.

Buddy Hield scored 24 points, including a tying three-pointer in the last minute, and Obi Toppin added 21 points and six assists. Trae Young led the Hawks with 38 points and eight assists, Dejounte Murray added 28 points and five assists, and Serbian basketball player Bogdan Bogdanović had 26 points with 10-of-15 shooting.

In other play-in tournament action, the Los Angeles Lakers defeated the Utah Jazz 131-99. LeBron James became the first player to score 39,000 points in NBA history.

He finished the game with 17 points, nine assists, and seven rebounds. Anthony Davis was the most effective player for the Lakers with 26 points, 16 rebounds, and four assists. D'Angelo Russell scored 20 points with eight assists, and Austin Reeves had 19 points.

The Lakers remain undefeated in Group A West with a 4-0 record, while the Jazz fall to 2-2.

The Phoenix Suns won their fourth consecutive game, defeating the Portland Trail Blazers 120-107.

Kevin Durant led the Suns with 31 points, nine assists, and four rebounds. He also became the 11th player in NBA history to score 27,000 points. Booker contributed to the victory with 28 points, and Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points and 12 rebounds.

The Suns now stand in second place in Group A West with a 3-1 record, while the Trail Blazers fall to 1-3.

Cleveland Cavaliers Defeat Philadelphia 76ers 122-119 in Overtime

The Cavaliers' victory was led by Darius Garland, who scored 31 points and dished out eight assists.

Lauri Markkanen added 25 points and 11 rebounds, while Evan Mobley contributed 22 points. The 76ers were led by Tyrese Maxey, who scored a game-high 37 points. Joel Embiid added 26 points and 15 rebounds, while James Harden chipped in with 22 points.
