The Denver Nuggets overcame the absence of their star center Nikola Jokic to defeat the Detroit Pistons 107-103 on Tuesday night, extending the Pistons' losing streak to a season-worst 12 games. Jokic received the first technical in the first quarter due to an argument with the referees, and he earned the exclusion when, after one contact and an apparent foul by a Detroit player, he again entered into a heated conversation with the referees.

It is interesting that before Jokic, the coach of the current champions, Mike Malone, was excluded. Jamal Murray led the Nuggets with 21 points, while Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and Christian Brown added 20 and 15 points, respectively.

The Nuggets also received valuable contributions from Michael Porter Jr. (12 points), Bones Hyland (11 points), and Bruce Brown (10 points). For the Pistons, Cade Cunningham had a game-high 27 points and added nine assists. However, the Pistons were unable to overcome a 10-point deficit in the fourth quarter and fell to 2-11 on the season.

With this victory, the Nuggets have now won two of their last three games. Their next test will come on Wednesday night when they travel to Orlando to face the Magic.

Miami Heat bounce back from first loss with win over Chicago Bulls

The Miami Heat bounced back from their first loss of the season by defeating the Chicago Bulls 118-100 on Tuesday night.

Bam Adebayo led the Heat with 23 points, 11 rebounds, and six assists. Duncan Robinson added 22 points, while Jimmy Butler and Tyler Herro each had 16 points. In the team of the defeated Bulls, Kobe White stood out with 20 points and five rebounds, Vucevic added 18 points with eight rebounds, and Derouzen stopped at 15.

The Heat were in control of the game from the start, leading by as many as 20 points in the third quarter. The Bulls never threatened to mount a serious comeback, as they fell to 9-4 on the season. The Miami Heat's next game is on November 23, 2023, against the Cleveland Cavaliers at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland, Ohio. The victory over the Bulls will surely give an incentive for a good game against Cleveland.
