The incident occurred in the first row of the stands behind the floor and involved Jokic pushing Ishbia away with his elbow.

Physical Confrontation Erupts in the Stands

The incident began when Ishbia held onto a ball that Jokic was trying to retrieve. The situation quickly escalated, leading to the physical confrontation between the two. Although it was initially thought that Jokic might face suspension, he only received a fine of 25,000 dollars, as reported by respected journalist Adrian Wojnarowski.

Jokic and Ishbia Address the Incident

Ishbia took to Twitter on Monday morning to address the situation and expressed his respect for Jokic. "Great win for the Suns last night in an amazing series so far! That should be and is the only story," Ishbia tweeted.

"Suspending or fining anyone over last night's incident would not be right. I have a lot of respect for Jokic and don't want to see anything like that. Excited for game 5! Go Suns!" Jokic also spoke about the incident after the game, in which he had 53 points and 11 assists. "The fan put his hand on me first," Jokic explained.

Nuggets coach Michael Malone also weighed in on the situation, stating that Jokic was "going to get the ball and some fan is holding on to the ball like he wants to be part of the game."

Jokic Avoids Suspension and Ready to Play in Game 5

Thanks to the financial penalty, Jokic will be available for tonight's crucial fifth game of the playoff series, as the score is currently tied 2-2.
