According to French media reports, the legendary French football coach, Zinedine Zidane, has been the subject of interest from the Saudi Arabian club, Al-Nassr. The Portuguese football superstar, Cristiano Ronaldo, is said to be actively working towards bringing Zidane to the club.
Ronaldo's Personal Involvement
The Portuguese forward is said to have personally contacted Zidane, who has reportedly received an offer from the Saudi club. The Portuguese sports news outlet, AS, reported that Ronaldo is "very excited" about the possibility of working again with Zidane, with whom he won several major titles, including three consecutive Champions Leagues and two Ballon d'Or awards, during their time together at Real Madrid.
Al-Nassr's Search for Success
Al-Nassr is currently in second place in the league table, with three points less than the leader, Al Ittihad, and seven rounds left in the championship. AS believes that the club has not yet reached its full potential and has the ability to achieve better results with its current team.
This belief led to the recent dismissal of Rudi Garcia, and Croatian football expert Dinko JeliÄiÄ will temporarily lead the team until a new coach is appointed. Zidane has been out of work since leaving Real Madrid in 2021, and has been linked to several high-profile coaching positions, including Paris Saint-Germain and the French national team.
However, neither of those positions have become available yet, as PSG appointed Christophe Galtier last summer and the French national team extended Didier Deschamps' contract after reaching the World Cup final for the second time.

A Verbal Offer on the Table
A verbal offer has been reported to have been submitted to Zidane, with Ronaldo believed to have been involved in the discussions.
However, there are no guarantees that the Frenchman will accept the job. Spanish outlet AS has also mentioned Jose Mourinho's name as a candidate for the position. The outlet claims that a two-year contract worth €100m could soon be offered to the current Roma manager, which would make him the highest-paid manager in the world.
The contract would also include the opportunity for the manager to transition into international management with the Saudi Arabian national team.
The Wait Continues
As of now, the football world waits to see whether Zidane will take up the offer from Al-Nassr and reunite with Ronaldo, or if the club will choose a different path.
Regardless, the prospect of a legendary coach and one of the greatest footballers of all time working together again is an exciting one for fans around the world.
