Anthony Davis confident in Lakers' title chances: I like our chances against anybody

Anthony Davis believes the Los Angeles Lakers have a team good enough to make a strong playoff run. After a slow start to the season, the Lakers made several moves prior to the trade deadline - they moved Russell Westbrook and acquired D'Angelo Russell, Malik Beasley, Rui Hachimura and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Since making those moves, the Lakers have looked much better and now they sit at No 8 in the Western Conference standings with a 37-37 record. The Lakers have been playing without Lebron James since early March but they have done well so far.
James is expected to return in the final week of the regular season. "The team we have now, we feel like not only can we make noise this year, and I like our chance against anybody to be honest. You put anybody against us, I like our chances.
Who knows what we could be, what threat we could be next year and then years to come if they work it out and are able to keep this group together," Davis told ESPN's Dave McMenamin.
Davis leads the Lakers to a big win on Friday night
On Friday night, Davis delivered a big performance as he posted 37 points and 15 rebounds in a 116-111 win over the Oklahoma City Thunder.
With that win, the Lakers reached .500 for the first time this season. Now, the Lakers are positioned well to at least make the play-in tournament. For the final eight games of the regular season, Lakers head coach Darvin Ham wants his players to leave it out all there in each remaining game.
"We just have to approach these upcoming games, these last eight, like we've been doing since the deadline: Each game is its own entity. We can't worry about going 6-2 or 7-1 or 5-3. We just have to approach each game and dive and pour all of ourselves into each particular game. So we'll continue to carry on as such," Ham said.
