Stephen Curry suffered a bad knee injury in the game against the Denver Nuggets. During the third quarter of the game he suffered an unnatural twist of the lower limb, while he was trying to defend against the penetration of McKinley Wright IV.
Curry made his way to the bench, before finally abandoning the match and heading to the locker room. Curry then underwent an immediate X-ray in the Chase Center which showed no fractures. Curry will undergo an MRI scan which will give more detailed results regarding Curry's knee problem.
This is no small shingle for the NBA champions who are struggling in the regular season and want to earn access to the playoffs to defend their title. Coach Steve Kerr expalained: "Every time a player gets an MRI there is a certain level of concern.
We just have to wait and see the results. Unfortunately it has happened many times over the years. So fingers crossed that everything is ok."
