Kevin Durant thinks LeBron James is a scorer: Never fallen for that pass-first talk

Kevin Durant doesn't agree with the claim that LeBron James is a pass-first guy as he believes James is a scorer who can also definitely pass the ball well. James, 38, is regarded by some as the pass-first player. But James has 38,230 points and he is on the verge of breaking Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's all-time record of 38,387 points.
“See, I ain’t never really fall for that pass-first type stuff. Bron always was a scorer, it felt like, that could pass. I think he’s a scorer first. When you can get 50 like that and average 27 for your career, I really think you a scorer, in my opinion.
And on top of having longevity, that’s what brings you to being the number one scorer of all time. I just think he a scorer first that can make plays passing. So, I think that’s underselling him by calling him a pass-first player, in my opinion.
But the longevity is inspiring. If you look up and you still see 30 points a night at 38 years old, still making plays on both ends of the floor. It’s truly truly inspiring," Durant said of James on NBA Hooper Vision, per Talk Basket.
Durant 'inspired' by James longevity
James, who turned 38 in late December, is still a very strong force in the game. At the age of 38, James is averaging 29.9 points, 8.5 rebounds and 7.0 assists. What James is doing is absolutely impressive and fellow NBA stars often express how inspiring it is to see someone being dominant while slowly approaching his fourties.
When it comes to Durant, he is 34-years-old and he is also still considered one of the best players in the game. So far this season, Durant has been averaging 29.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 5.3 assists per game. Unfortunately, Durant hasn't played since suffering a MCL sprain on January 8th. This week, it was reported that Durant could potentially return before the All-Star break (February 19).
