Giannis Antetokounmpo reveals his aim after stunning 55-point performance

Giannis Antetokounmpo reveals his goal is to reach the level of consistency where his game would be considered boring. On Tuesday night, Antetokounmpo exploded for 55 points, 10 rebounds and seven assists in a 123-113 win over the Washington Wizards.

In each of his past three games, Antetokounmpo has had over 40 points. Antetokounmpo has been playing the basketball of his life lately and it just doesn't seem that opposing defenses have any answer for this type of Antetokounmpo.

"I want to get in a position that my game is boring. I just do what I do and people don't talk about it because it becomes boring -- I do it every single night. That's what I want to do. I want other people to feel like my game is boring.

But I don't get bored. The greats -- the best players -- never get bored. They go out there and they always give their best any given night," Antetokounmpo said, per AP.

Antetokounmpo is pleasantly surprising his teammates

Antetokounmpo, who was back-to-back NBA MVP in 2019 and 2020, seems to have taken his game to a new level.

Brook Lopez, a veteran center, admits he is impressed by the 28-year-old Antetokounmpo's ability to constantly improve his game. "He's just constantly improving. When you think where else can he go and how else can he improve, he just improves again.

We're going to have to expand the English language in some way to come up with words [to describe him]. I don't know if I've said that before, but I'm sure he's going to improve again. Who knows what he's going to do next. He's just so otherworldly," Lopez said of Antetokounmpo.

Following their win over the Wizards, the Bucks improved to 24-13 on the season. With that record, the Bucks are holding the third spot in the Eastern Conference. In their next game, Antetokounmpo and company are playing the Toronto Raptors on the road.
