Thad Moffitt, Richard Petty's grandson, is getting ready for his first full-time season in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Faction46. Moffitt has been waiting for this chance for a long time. From the earliest days of his career, he was focused on shining on the NASCAR scene, and now he will have a chance to show his qualities.

He's genuinely excited about this opportunity. Thad wants to use his potential and take a chance. “This is the opportunity I’ve been waiting for,” Moffitt said, as quoted by racingnews.co! “I’m thrilled that Lane has put his trust in me to begin this new venture with him in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series with Faction46.

This past year, I had a full season in the Trans Am Series, but I always wanted to have the opportunity to race full-time in NASCAR and begin in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series. I’m pretty pumped up about this opportunity”.

Lane Moore reacted

Lane Moore, the team owner, announced the signing of an exceptional driver. Moore recognizes the immense talent within the Petty family and holds high hopes for Faction46. Being a part of the NASCAR scene brings Moore immense joy, and he firmly believes that Moffitt can meet the expectations set for him.

"I’ve enjoyed working and getting to know the Petty family and Thad,” Moore said. “It all accumulated to this day and the beginning of Faction46 and what I hope to be a long stay in NASCAR. The NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series offers some of the best, most exciting racing for both young and seasoned drivers.

I’m proud to be part of the series with Thad as we earn the respect of the other teams." He didn't forget to thank Niece Motorsports either. “I have to thank Niece Motorsports for their assistance in helping us as we grow”.
