Kaulig Racing surprised many again for the 2024 season by revealing the acquisition of Josh Williams. Williams will transition from the DGM Racing No. 92 to drive Kaulig's No. 11 car. In an interview with SiriusXM NASCAR Radio, he confirmed that the negotiations had begun earlier, and it was necessary to conduct some analysis.
Kaulig Racing was aware of his qualities and how much positive he could bring to the team. On the other hand, Williams also knew that it was a quality team that would enable him to develop in the right direction and achieve great results.
This kind of cooperation turned out to be great for both parties.
“We started having just small conversations in the middle of the year last year just trying to see where we needed to be and the best way to go about it.
Made sure that we were a fit, you know, for our partners as well. Kaulig’s got a great program going on, a lot of cool things, really great people. We felt like I would be a good fit over there and we just kept the conversations alive."- Williams said, as quoted by on3.com!
Johs Williams: It’s been a long road for me
After negotiations, they managed to find a common language and sign a contract. Williams is excited about the new chapter in his career.
He wants to fulfill expectations and achieve great results in the new team.
“Put things together on our side that we needed to do to make this all possible and we finally got it finalized here a couple of months ago and got everything ready to rip and man I tell you what I’m super excited.
It’s been a long road for me and it’s every racer’s dream to get an opportunity to go win races and run up front and get on the big stage”.
