Homestead-Miami Speedway turned out to be a great race for Christopher Bell who took the win and advanced to the next round. Bell once again showed his qualities this season, and announced that he will go all the way! In an interview with the media, this great NASCAR driver emphasized that he loves the moments when he feels the pressure.
This gives him additional motivation and the desire to succeed. “Well, I mean, I don’t think that it means anything for me. I certainly thrive on pressure and I love it. I live for those type of moments. That’s why last week hurt so bad because I live for those moments.
Whenever you have an opportunity to be great…It didn’t work last week [at Las Vegas], and that really, really hurt me”. - Bell said. Times like these, when Bell demonstrates his capabilities, are precisely what he desires.
It's during moments when numerous doubters question your potential for success that one pushes even harder. Bell is undoubtedly one of those individuals
“But I do live for those moments. I love being great or trying to be great, I should say.
Yeah, I love it”.
Christopher Bell and Kevin Harvick
Many in the press have drawn comparisons between "The Closer" (Kevin Harvick) and Christopher Bell. However, despite Christopher's immense respect for Harvick and his impressive career, he doesn't appear to appreciate such comparisons.
His primary focus remains on creating success in his own right. “I don’t know. I mean, Harvick is obviously one of the greatest to ever do it. I’m a far stretch from that. I am proud of what I’ve been able to accomplish I guess is the right way to say it.
But I don’t think that anybody will be The Closer. That’s Kevin’s motto, that’s what he did. Hopefully, I’m Christopher Bell”. Source: on3.com
