Denny Hamlin gives an update on his JGR contract negotiations

Over the last few weeks, Denny Hamlin's future has been the main topic of discussion in the media. The contract Hamlin currently holds with JGR will expire at the end of the 2023 NASCAR season, and a new contract has not yet been signed.

In the wake of the whole story, many are wondering if there is a problem, and whether Hamlin will be ready for a new adventure with JGR. Judging by Hamlin's statements, there will be no progress in the negotiations anytime soon.

Denny emphasizes that these kinds of things take a lot of time and that there are a lot of details that need to be addressed. “I mean, nothing big has changed. It is a process and obviously, with the relationship with Toyota, you know, being in the middle of the triangle between 23XI, myself, and Joe Gibbs Racing, we have to get a deal done all around before I can do anything permanent.

”- Hamlin said.

Denny Hamlin and his career

In his career, Denny Hamlin has made a lot of memories with JGR, and this is the team in which he would like to spend the remainder of his career. There is no doubt that the JGR team is aware of what kind of driver they have and what quality and experience he brings to the team.

Among the most important factors for them is Hamlin's desire to remain with the team for the foreseeable future. All other things will now be up to the leaders of the team and Hamlin to handle. As a result, it will be necessary for both sides to come to an agreement on the details, so that the story can finally be put to rest.

“I always look at the landscape, but I’d love being at Joe Gibbs Racing, and certainly, Joe’s been fantastic to me. I don’t see our relationship ever souring. I think mine and Joe’s relationship will always stay strong, and it’s where I wanna finish my career”.
