Denny Hamlin created huge problems for himself after he admitted in his podcast that the wreck over Ross Chastain was intentional. NASCAR executives did not wait long to react. Hamlin was immediately penalized and lost 25 points but was also fined $50,000.

Famous NASCAR drivers reacted immediately, and one of the first to react was Daniel Suarez. “If I only see the race, it’s more like a racing contact. There wasn’t anything super intentional, in my opinion… said what he said, asking for trouble…made a decision…He made a decision to look cool in the media, and that’s what he gets,” said Daniel Suarez.

Kyle Busch seems to be furious with Hamlin, considering he shouldn't have said such things in public. In the end, this cost him, and he will have to think carefully about whether he will do the same in the future. “Keep your mouth shut”.- Busch said.

“That’s where the problem lies. Nobody gives two shits about anybody else. It’s just a problem where everybody takes advantage of everybody as much as they can. We’re all selfish, granted, but there was an etiquette that once did live here”.

Kevin Harvick Reacted: I don’t like wrecking under caution

Kevin Harvick hopes that things like this will not happen, considering that all parties will suffer in the end. However, it is unlikely that NASCAR drivers will stop doing such things in the future.

This will be a big lesson for Hamlin, who immediately filed an appeal after NASCAR decided to punish him. "I think it’s a fine line between letting everybody have their personalities and doing what they need to do. But in this current situation, we still have the possibility of drivers getting hurt and I don’t like wrecking under caution. I don’t like the fact that we’re intentionally wrecking drivers”.
