Yamaha said goodbye to Rossi with a very emotional message

The season of the Moto GP championship ended on Sunday with a race in Valencia and the victory of Francesco Bagnaia, but the racing weekend in eastern Spain was marked by the withdrawal of the most popular motorcyclist in history - the Italian Valentino Rossi.

"Doctor" has a career behind him during which he completely changed the sport and was its first star, and the whole world of sports is saying goodbye to Rossi and congratulating him on his incredible career through social networks.

The Monte Energi Yamaha team had a special way to thank the famous Italian - they dedicated a song to him in which his motorcycle talks about "mutual love" with Russia. I remember Saturday, January 24, 2004, as if it were yesterday.
Our first meeting in Malaysia.

I've been waiting a long time for someone like you.
I was nervous, but it was love at first sight for both of us. I knew right away that our relationship was going to be something really special.
We had an undeniable spark that is seen once in a lifetime, all the pieces of the puzzle fit together.

I will never forget how we stopped on the grass at Welkom 2004.
Just the two of us, we realized that it was right to be together - and that this was just the beginning. Together we won four titles in the Moto GP championship and won 56 races.
We have brought joy to millions of fans around the world and created memories that will last a lifetime.

We wrote history because we were like one and we awakened the best in each other.
Because of you, I was strong again.

Love

You made me respectful.
To be loved again. Only you, Valentino, had the power to do that.
And I trusted you completely.

I supported you with all my heart.
I fought in all the battles with you. Only I could make your motorcycling fun until the very end.
From our first kiss on the grass in Welkom, to our last dance in Valencia this year, we have been on so many great adventures.

And there were our special trips to Laguna Seca 2008 and Catalonia 2009.
No one had moves like us at the time, right? Also, Assen 2009, when I helped you reach a hundred victories.
It was magical! I’ve bore you for 16 years of an amazing career.
But you bore me in your heart too.

From Mugello to Montegi, from Silverstone to Sepang and from Barcelona to Buriram, we have always been there for each other.
I gave everything for you, just as you gave everything for me. One thing I will always appreciate is our conversations on the grid.
It was always the same - you and me against the whole world.

We were "Drive or die!"
But unfortunately, even the most beautiful love stories have to end. Valentino, you are a part of me.
Part of my history. Part of what I am today and part of what I will be after we part.
Our connection is truly special and I will miss you more than you will ever know.
Thank you, Valentino. With love, Your YZR-M1
