Matt Fitzpatrick has delighted everyone with his performances this year. Many predict even greater things for him in the future. Fitzpatrick is a golfer who radiates positivity, kindness, and love for golf. He had the dream of becoming a professional since he was a boy.

Amazingly; Fitzpatrick is now part of the PGA Tour 2k23 game. In an interview with the media, Matt recalled his childhood and video games. He imagined that one day he would be a character from a video game, and his dream came true.

Tiger Woods was obviously his idol from his youth. "It’s awesome, yeah growing up playing video games and to be in one myself is pretty special really. I think he'd [12-year-old Matt] be amazed. It’d be very bizarre but yeah I think growing up I always remember playing video games and thinking ‘It’d be amazing if you could be on the game’.

You’d always create yourself yeah so to be on there is pretty cool."- Fitzpatrick said.

Almost all young golfers had one common idol as children: Tiger Woods. "I always played as Tiger Woods growing up.

My favorite course on the new game is one of Tiger Woods' own designs - Payne Valley, which I describe as 'pretty wild.' My best score so far is eight-under." The creators of PGA Tour 2k23 made an effort to make it an attention-grabbing game, and they paid attention to many details.

"It’s crazy the detail that goes into them and how it’s all formed. It’s very, very impressive." There is a lot of difference between playing real golf and playing golf on a video game. Fitzpatrick seems to be doing better on the video game.

"It’s great, playing good in real life is a bit better than in video games. It’s just a lot nicer. I don’t know about that [whether real life golf is easier]. I think if I get hot in the game I could probably regularly shoot under 64 so I can’t do that in real life." Source: Golfmonthly.com
