Xander Schauffele was unable to claim victory in the final round of the FedEx Cup. Viktor Hovland was better and deservedly won the title. The Norwegian is really impressive and is admired by everyone. His playing style, calmness, and mentality are something that will be talked about for years to come.
Schauffele had the best sense of how dangerous Hovland was and what his possibilities are. Schauffele wasn't particularly angry with himself for his performance.
”Yeah, I'll hold my head up high. It was the most fun I had losing in quite some time.
It's such a weird feeling. I shot 62. I lost by five. Just kudos to Havi. He played unbelievably well the last few weeks to get himself into this position and to really just put a cherry on top for himself and his team."- Xander said, as per golfmonthly.com!
Xander Schauffele reveals his plans
The Ryder Cup is waiting for us soon, and the excitement has never been greater. The US team and the European team enter with huge ambitions and hope that they can achieve victory. Schauffele will also be part of this competition, and it seems that he is already mentally preparing for such an important challenge.
"It's five weeks away, so I'm going to take some time off and I'm going to have to rebuild that confidence come Italy and the Ryder Cup. But, yeah, I think it's definitely - I think we're working on - my team and I, we're working on the right stuff to get these results.
Kind of playing sort of whatever coming into the playoffs to sort of peak and play really well at the right time is important, and so I think we're working on the right things”. Both teams have quality, but in the end only one will be the winner!
