Rickie Fowler is slowly starting to achieve the goals he set for himself. The American was great at the Rocket Mortgage Classic, and in the end, deservedly won the title. Fowler was disappointed with himself before the start of this year.
He trained hard, worked on himself, and the results had to come. Several great performances, and now a trophy, speak volumes about his ambitions. However, Fowler has one more wish; Being part of the Ryder Cup team. “One of the main goals this year was to win,” -Fowler said.
"Outside of that was obviously playing well and doing what I've been doing to make it to the Tour Championship. One of the end goals was to be a part of the Ryder Cup team and that's still what we're focusing on right now.
I’ve been a part of a handful and they're very special weeks, so that's where I have kind of my eyes”.
Rickie Fowler expected his victory
Rickie has been striving for this kind of success for a long time, and previously he was confident that he would succeed in it.
Fowler carried his phenomenal form to the Rocket Mortgage Classic and deservedly won the trophy. Without the support of those closest to him, it would be difficult for him to succeed in this. His daughter Maya and his wife are the main sources of happiness for this experienced golfer.
“It’s hard to really put it all into words,” Fowler said. “Obviously a lot of good stuff this year, been playing some really good golf. I knew it was just a matter of time with how I’ve been playing.
I’ve had a couple tough weekends where I’ve had a chance. U.S. Open didn’t get it done. But at the end of the day, getting to hold her, getting to hang with Maya and my wife. Winning is great but there’s a lot more to life than that”. Source: Golfmonthly
