AlphaTauri driver Pierre Gasly says his priority is to return to Red Bull for the 2023 season, but he also makes it clear that he will not wait for their call as he will look to other teams. Pierre is therefore looking to his distant future after 2022, and that is a top team.
AlphaTauri's driver was already in such a team in 2019 - Red Bull - but he didn't manage to do anything more. For the 2019 season, he found himself in the Austrian team where he was expected to be clearly the second driver to help this team fight for the titles.
However, the 25-year-old has been replaced by Alex Albon for half a season, as he did not give the expected results. He was returned to Toro Rosso (now AlphaTauri), where he set out on his recovery. It didn't take him long to regain his performance, and in the weaker team, he recorded the first victory of his career in Monza 2020, only to make it clear last year what kind of driver he is.

However, the French driver no longer wants to be on a team that is exclusively struggling just to get into the top 10. He wants more. He wants to have a car again with which he will be able to find himself in the fight for victory.
That is why his next contract will be a key step in his career. “My next contract will be a key step in my career. I need to see what they think at Red Bull because I’ve been with them for eight years. They are my priority, but they have decided to continue with Sergio Perez, ”Gasly told The Race.
“I have been with them for a long time, and now they have a competitive car. But we will have to see what they will do with Max in the future because I have to think about my career. I'm young. I am 25 years old, and my goal is to be in the minds of big teams if they have to change one of their drivers, ”he insists.
To defend his clear position, the Frenchman stated that he was the first driver in the 2021 season and that he was not one of the four best teams on the grid: Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari, and McLaren. "I finished ninth in the championship.
