Formula 1 drivers have chosen the best driver of the season

Max Verstappen received praise from his rivals who found themselves on the grid of the premier class for the 2021 season, so he found himself at the top of the rankings according to the official Formula 1 website. After team bosses selected Max Verstappen as the best driver of the recently concluded season, the fastest octane sports drivers also gave the most votes to the Red Bull driver.

Voting was done in the same way as scoring in a race: the best driver was given 25 points and the tenth was given one point. After that, everything was counted to make the top ten best drivers. The rules also allowed drivers to vote for themselves, but not everyone participated in this vote as in previous years, and this was done in a way that their vote would remain anonymous.

So, as was the case with the team bosses, Max Verstappen got the most points and thus finished at the top of the standings. Lewis Hamilton found himself behind his biggest rival during the 2021 season. The seven-time world champion received the number of points with which he placed 2nd.

McLaren driver, Lando Norris also received very significant praise as the Briton finished in 3rd place.

Other drivers

Carlos Sainz found himself in the position of the best of the others. The Spaniard had the number of points with which he is in 4th place.

Sainz’s teammate, Charles Leclerc, is in 5th place. A returnee to the grid of the premier class, Fernando Alonso - who came to a great podium at the Qatar Grand Prix - took 6th place. Pierre Gasly, who for the first time in his career scored more than 100 points and brought more than 75% points for AlphaTauri placed 7th.

George Russell is known for his incredible performance during qualifying, plus winning points in four races for Williams, finished in 8th place. The winner of the race at the Hungarian Grand Prix, Esteban Ocon, collected enough points to finish in 9th place.

A newcomer to the 2021 season and Haas driver, Mick Schumacher has received great recognition from his opponents on the track. The German had two entries in Q2 in the weakest car, and that obviously did not miss his rivals who voted for him.

Mick finished in 10th place. The drivers who took part in the voting were: Fernando Alonso, Pierre Gasly, Nicholas Latifi, Charles Leclerc, Nikita Mazepin, Lando Norris, Esteban Ocon, Daniel Ricciardo, George Russell, Carlos Sainz, Mick Schumacher, Lance Stroll, Yuki Tsunoda, Sebastian Vettel.
