Sergio Perez is feeling better in his Red Bull car

After going through a rather difficult period of adjustment to the Red Bull car at the beginning of the season, using Verstappen's settings to the fullest, Perez emphasizes that he is now finding his way in adjusting his RB16B.

In recent seasons, there has been a lot of talk about how the Red Bull car is quite difficult to drive, that is, that it requires a lot of adjustment from the driver, and this was confirmed by Sergio Perez. After joining the ranks of the Racing Point Bulls at the beginning of the season, things were not easy at all.

To make his life easier, he mostly asked the team to apply the settings from Max Verstappen's car on his car, instead of wandering from weekend to weekend to find the right setup. Over time, Checo began to drive better and better and has already stressed several times that his self-confidence in the car is growing.

The dual program at the Red Bull Ring was ideal for him and for experimenting with the settings, he could look for a setup that would better suit his driving style. "We did a little more research on the car. We took this opportunity to get to know the car much better than the non-reference point we had.

In the end, we made the right adjustments and I am gradually starting to find my way when adjusting the car, ”says the Mexican.

Upgrades

Sometimes the cars also differ in some parts, for example when Verstappen gets the latest upgrades.

“Yes, when the cars are not on exactly the same specification and do not have the same aerodynamics, it is harder to compare them according to the settings. That is why it is important that we can go our own way in such cases, ”explains Perez.

The results for Perez were not exactly ideal at the Red Bull Ring. He entered fourth and sixth place, and that second race was marked by incidents with Lando Norris and Charles Leclerc. The Mexican will have a new opportunity to hunt on the podium this weekend at Silverstone.

He is expected to get better and better during the season because most are aware of the quality that Perez possesses, but momentum is needed that could give him extra strength and motivation to continue the season. Over time, Checo began to drive better and better and has already stressed several times that his self-confidence in the car is growing.

Surely Perez, along with Verstappen can do a lot, and Red Bull should be happy what kind of duo they have at his disposal
