Many teams are afraid of Red Bull for the next season. This great F1 team has been dominating for years, and last year's dominance makes other teams afraid that the same thing could happen this season. Looking at their progress in the last couple of years, and the fact that they have Max Verstappen in the team, it is certain that they will be the main favorites to win the championship this year as well. One of the teams that best matched them last year was McLaren. F1 experts and fans hope that McLaren will make additional progress this year and try to enter the fight with Red Bull for the title. Such predictions do not seem realistic, but it is difficult to forecast what the future holds and how things will unfold.

McLaren CEO Zak Brown predicted the future of his team in an interview with the media, and in some way expressed his fear that Red Bull could still show its real power this year! It's a bit unimaginable to see a greater dominance than what we could see before, but it's clear that the leaders of Red Bull know how to surprise everyone. The same could happen this time.

“Clearly we want to continue to close the gap. We finished up last year as the second or third quickest team, depending on what circuit you were at. Car development has been strong, but Red Bull certainly seems like they didn’t develop last year to the level they could if they wanted to. So that could be an unpleasant surprise for all of us.” - McLaren CEO Zak Brown said, as quoted by crash.net

McLaren team principal Andrea Stella doesn't want to go far into the future or make predictions about whether his team can do great things. He knows well what is happening on the F1 scene and how much influence other teams have. Each of the teams strives for progress and a better season than the previous one. In such an atmosphere it is sometimes difficult to set expectations and know what awaits you. Stella emphasized that their progress will be greatly envied by others. Their primary focus at the moment is to improve, work on the car, and understand where they made mistakes in the past.

"Competitiveness on track depends on what the opposition has done,”-Andrea Stella said.

"When we think specifically about Red Bull, there is one element that puts everyone in doubt as to what is going to happen in 2024, and it's the fact that they have not developed their car very much."

Andrea Stella talks about McLaren's progress

Stella discusses McLaren's progress, raising the question of whether they have strategically gathered developments for the next year to make significant improvements. He also suggests that Red Bull, even if they chose not to introduce upgrades, likely continued working on the development of their car.  Red Bull is one of those teams from which you never know what to expect. It is incredible how high-quality this team is, in which each individual gives his maximum. In the words of all the leaders of the other F1 teams, one can feel the uncertainty and fear of the future because of Red Bull.

Stella predicts that Red Bull will be very competitive, and the real challenge for McLaren is to establish themselves as a strong presence on the track.

It is hard to expect that Red Bull could have a bad season, considering everything we could see from this team before. The confidence they have after the previous three seasons must have grown even more. In an atmosphere where you don't feel the pressure and know that you are well on your way to doing the same thing again, it is much easier to achieve success. The future will still be the best indicator of how Red Bull and the other teams stand.

Stressing the importance of their own performance development, Stella expresses confidence that, with consistent efforts, McLaren has the opportunity to reduce the gap to other teams over time. This vision guides their strategy for the future.

We cannot exclude any team at this moment.
