Former Bridgestone engineer Ernest Knoors worked with many famous F1 drivers. Each of them left a mark. However, there were also those who were difficult to work with and required a special effort. In an interview with the media, Knoors confirmed that each of them has a passion for F1 and a desire to succeed. Knoors specifically referred to Fernando Alonso. Having him in the team can be difficult.

Ultimately, those boys are all motivated to win, to work hard,” Knoors told RacingNews365, as quoted by gpfans.com!

“When you work with Fernando Alonso, it’s a pleasure. When you have him in a team, he can also be quite difficult, because he always pushes for the best solutions for him, while as a team you might want to look for solutions that are best for the entire team.”

Ernest Knoors reacts

Knoors has always liked to cooperate with drivers who have a motive more than others. When you are aware that someone wants to make a success in the team and help them achieve their goals, then you automatically have more motivation. The most difficult driver he had the opportunity to work with is Lance Stroll. However, Knoors does not have a bad opinion of him.

“In general people who are motivated and push themselves to get the best out of it are always good to work with,” he said.

“The most difficult driver may be a kind of Lance Stroll,” he continued. “Those are a lot more difficult characters to assess, but the guys who work directly with him will also have a good relationship with him.”

Lance Stroll and Fernando Alonso are two great drivers, who have shown their qualities countless times, especially the Spaniard. Sometimes such drivers can be demanding and difficult to cooperate with, but as we have already said, their desire to win is enormous.
