Max Verstappen and Lewis Hamilton had an interesting rivalry. This year, Verstappen was far ahead of Lewis Hamilton, and we could not watch their clashes on F1 tracks. Speaking to BLICK, Verstappen confirmed that he does not miss the rivalry between him and Lewis Hamilton.

However, he respects the battles they had in the past.

“No. I was satisfied with how this season went,” he said, as quoted by crash.net! “Sure, I appreciate the battles we once had. But now I especially appreciate the successes that we can celebrate as a team”.

The Dutchman was asked by a reporter to share his thoughts on the fact that Hamilton has not won since 2021.
“I did it too. No, wait. That's not true. I was able to win from time to time. Well, such periods can happen, but I prefer not to think about it.

Because they eat up the necessary energies in you."

Jos Verstappen, Max's father, also recently had interesting statements regarding the Mercedes season and Hamilton. He referred to the legendary race in Abu Dhabi in 2021, when Hamilton and Verstappen fought for the title.

Lewis was so close to winning the championship, but in the end, Max had more luck. Jos Verstappen, as a former F1 driver, is aware that sometimes this sport can be cruel.

"At the end of the day, I can imagine how Mercedes has felt, but it has nothing to do… we didn’t make those decisions.

For the fans of F1 and, of course, speaking as Max’s Dad, it couldn’t been better. It was so exciting until the last moment. Of course, for us, the outcome was nice. I can imagine, for Lewis and Toto, it’s not as nice. But that’s how it is, you know, you have to accept it.."
