The FIA has admitted it made a mistake after not issuing penalties to Max Verstappen and Logan Sargeant. Both were lucky and did not receive a three-place penalty. The stewards emphasized that they made a mistake and that this decision would not be a precedent for the future.

The great Mercedes driver, Lewis Hamilton is not satisfied with the steward's explanation; “Not really."- he said, as quoted by crash.net! The Briton is not satisfied, given that not everyone is treated the same. He is frustrated by the mistakes that the stewards make from season to season, and he believes that it is necessary to determine an alternative so that these things do not happen.

As one of the alternatives, Hamilton gave AI. The Briton believes that AI could do a good job. In a time when artificial intelligence works wonders, it would be really interesting to see what kind of things it would do in the F1 world.

"How many years have we…. That rule has been the same for ages, you know? I think we need to start looking into AI for this sort of thing, so we get good decisions. I would like to see whether AI could do a better job or not”.

George Russell

Hamilton's teammate, George Russell, also doesn't understand why Max didn't get a penalty. However, he is not the only one who does not understand the FIA's moves. Indeed, stewards should be more careful in the future when it comes to making such decisions.

We all make mistakes, but they should be reduced to as few as possible. We hope that such mistakes will no longer affect the final results.
"It was definitely a bit strange to see even Max got away with those reprimands last week," Russell said.

"We obviously always look for consistency. We appreciate it's not easy in the best of times, but last week was obviously a bit of a slam dunk. So it was strange why it didn't happen”.
