Sebastian Vettel towards Aston Martin!

From Germany comes a sensational voice: Sebastian Vettel, who will leave Ferrari next year, could be destined for Aston Martin. The 33-year-old driver and four-time Formula 1 world champion would be in the sights of the Racing Point.

According to Bild, negotiations are underway between the German for the next F1 World Championships. The British team, founded by Lawrence Stroll, will become Aston Martin starting ifrom 2021. Sebastian Vettel would replace Sergio Perez in the future Aston Martin.

The 30-year-old Mexican contract, which runs with Lance Stroll (son of the owner of the majority stake), includes a separation clause to be exercised by July 31st. Otherwise it would be necessary to pay a substantial penalty.

The current Racing Point would seem one of the most concrete possibilities for Vettel to remain in Formula 1 within a competitive team: difficult to imagine how Mercedes or its former Red Bull, they like McLaren or Renault, can insert it in their respective stables at starting from 2021.

Currently the Racing Point occupies the 4th place in the constructors' ranking (22 points), but is at the center of an investigation by FIA regarding the similarity of the brake grip between its car and the Mercedes of 2019 (team with which it has a partnership of motors).

With Sainz at Ferrari, Ricciardo at McLaren and Alonso's return to Renault, Vettel's fate could be Aston Martin himself.

The dominance of Mercedes and the problems of Ferrari in lasts GPs

It is a jubilation for Lewis Hamilton who completes the 71 laps of the Austrian circuit without worries and wins a victory that tells a lot about the dominance imposed by Mercedes in these first few weeks of racing.

His teammate Valtteri Bottas, unlike seven days ago, has to settle for second place thus completing the perfect day for the German team which consolidates its leadership in the constructors' classification. Red Bull driver Max Verstappen finished third, thus redeeming the retirement seven days ago with a very solid performance.

In the last laps a real tussle was unleashed for the positions immediately below the podium with Albon, Norris, Perez and Stroll, this is the order of arrival, authors of overtaking and counter-overtaking who ignited a final full of emotions.

Formula 1 now moves to Hungary where, on 19 July, it will return to racing. Bottas remains the championship leader ahead of Hamilton and the increasingly surprising Lando Norris with his more than reliable McLaren. Leclerc remains fourth, but to get back on top, a decidedly different and more competitive Ferrari is needed.

In the first race of 2020 F1 World Championships, again in Austria, Mercedes won with Valtteri Bottas, Charles Leclerc with his Ferrari in second place, while in third place on the podium, the Briton Lando Norris on the McLaren-Renault.

Once again, the difference in performance between Mercedes and its rivals appears very clear, both as regards Hamilto and Bottas, and as regards the superiority of the car.
