Lewis Hamilton enters this season much better than was the case in the previous one. He is not too worried about the slightly worse performances of the previous season and confirmed that at this moment he just wants to be happy.
"Right now, I'm just trying to live in the moment," Hamilton told Sky Sports. "I'm trying to just be happy. I'm trying to just enjoy my my job. I'm trying to elevate myself, spiritually, mentally, and physically, to be the best driver and to really try and reach my full potential always." F1 is his life and the job he loves the most.
"I love working with the team. This has been my life for such a long time. I feel currently fit enough and deserving of my position. So I'm going to continue to go... for a bit! Of course, our goal is to win a world championship, but it's like the championship we're trying to win.
I'm not thinking about an eighth. I'm thinking about a world championship like it's our first. So that's how I'm approaching it and I believe I've got the right team in order to do that. I'd be so proud if I could do that for this team again."
Lewis Hamilton on his team and unity: I love being a part of a team
Hamilton is happy about the unity that currently reigns in his team.
Mercedes is one of the best teams, and we expect a lot from them next season. “I have been here a long time. I don’t know, I think it is the combined energy of all the individuals in the team. I love being a part of a team that is working towards a common goal.
I continue to love racing, that will never change, it is a part of my DNA and I always believe I can get better”.
