Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are optimistic for Interlagos and hope to win the race. "We're definitely going to be very excited for tomorrow and obviously having Lewis and I one-two on the grid, is going to give us some options of the strategy," Russell said after the qualifying race at Interlagos, as quoted by motorsport.com "I think we're going to have to work together to do something different for one of us, to try and get the victory for the team tomorrow." Hamilton believes that they must play as a team and help their team.

"We'll work together as a team," said Hamilton. "This is about the team. We've got to get this result for the team. I think it'd be incredibly special."
Russell and Hamilton showed that there is chemistry between them and it is clear that they will fight until the very end.

Both are quality drivers, and tomorrow will be an ideal chance to confirm their qualities. "I think as we saw in Mexico, we both did the same strategy and ultimately it affected us both," Russell explained. "Sitting here right now, we probably don't know what the right strategy is going to be.

"We'll race each other fairly, for sure. And I'm sure we'll probably be splitting the strategies tomorrow to try and cover all options. "Hopefully one of us comes away happy tomorrow. But I think we both recognise based on recent experience, we're probably going to have to go two separate ways." Hamilton added: "Of course, we'll drive carefully and clean.

We've just always got to just have at the core of it, at the front of our mind, it's the team, getting the result for the team. "But of course, individually, we'll do our best to try and get the best result."

Shovlin's opinion

Trackside engineering director Andrew Shovlin is optimistic before the race, considering Russell's great result.

"If we look at all the data we've had over the entire year, Max is going to be quick tomorrow," Shovlin said. "If the track is warmer, it will probably help some of their issues. "They looked like they were front-limited, that problem is going to diminish a bit.

And also they won't be on the wrong tyre. We've all got to run a medium or a hard as well as the soft. So we're expecting a tougher battle. "But we couldn't have got ourselves in a better position today. It's great to have both cars at the front.

And recently, we've had decent race pace. "So we'll see what we can do. We don't expect it to be anything other than a very, very hardcore battle. But we're trying desperately hard to get our first win."
