RTX 4070 graphics card coming soon: Cheaper price
by | VIEW 282
A new RTX 4000 series graphics card is not far away and it is only a matter of time before Nvidia releases a new model of one of these cards. At the time of writing, the RTX 4090, 4080, and 4070Ti are on the market, but because of the cost, these cards are out of reach for most PC gamers.
This means that there is expected to be the release of lower-ranked models in the near future, but before that, we will see the "middle" model of the offer - the RTX 4070. There are some claims about the RTX 4070 model that have recently appeared on the VideoCardz portal, which normally provides reliable information regarding the graphics cards.
Unofficial reports suggest that the RTX 4070 is expected to offer significant improvements in almost every segment of the market, including the price, when compared to the RTX 3070. According to reports that have been made unofficially, the RTX 4070 will feature 12 GB of video memory, which is a four gigabyte improvement over the previous generation as it will employ GDDR6X technology.
On the other hand, there will be a greater jump in the cache memory - from 4 MB to 36 MB - which is a very significant jump. Additionally, the card is expected to have a slightly lower power consumption (about 186W) than its predecessor (about 186W), and support DLSS3 technology as well as more advanced video encoding techniques.
Comparision
It is safe to say that, in theory, the RTX 4070 with its 29 TFLOPs is in the same range of computing power as the RTX 3080 model when everything is shown in teraflops. While there is never really a factually accurate comparison that should be grasped when discussing the price of a device in general, it is fundamentally important when deciding whether or not to purchase it.
The price of this device is expected to be 599 US dollars, according to reports. It would be a fair assumption that, based on what Nvidia was asking for the RTX 3080 at the time, the RTX 4070 would be a hundred dollars more expensive than the RTX 3070 at the time, but also a hundred dollars cheaper than the price that was going on for the RTX 3070.
