There is going to be quite a bit of turmoil on the gaming scene over the next few months. Even though the E3 2023 fair has been officially cancelled, there will be a number of video game giants presenting their products until the first half of June.
The Summer Game Fest is the first event on the list. Additionally, Xbox, Nintendo, Ubisoft and others will all be preparing big presentations for us, and there will be a lot of attention paid to the Sony presentation by the gaming public and those in the industry.
There has been some speculation that Sony will hold its big showcase next month, which is expected to happen at the latest at the beginning of June, according to a well-known gaming journalist and insider. According to Jeff Grubb, who hinted at the recent State of Play, the new big PlayStation Showcase will be held before the Summer Game Fest, so it's quite possible that we may be seeing the event in advance of June 8th.
Grubb's view: Sony and its great plans
In Grubb's view, the PlayStation Showcase should be a platform for showcasing the next phase of the PlayStation 5. Consequently, it is likely that Sony's heavy weapons will be displayed at this event in the form of already announced games, such as Marvel's Spider-Man 2, Marvel's Wolverine, and The Last of Us multiplayer, as well as unannounced games that are in the development stages at Sony's many first party studios such as Bend, Sucker Punch, Bluepoint and many more.
It is clear that Sony has serious plans for the future that they want to realize as soon as possible. We may have to admit that what Sony is currently doing is giving optimism to the fans of the company, allowing them hope that the company's leaders will be able to live up to their expectations in the future. It will be interesting to see if everything goes according to plan.
