In a few days, the new EG team will make its debut. There has been a lot of change to the Evil Geniuses team in the middle of last season and the team will make another change, introducing Jerric "Wiz" Jiang to the team. The AWPing of the EG Black team's academy team will now be handled by Wiz, a former member of the academy team of the EG Black organization.
It is anticipated that the EG team will debut at the upcoming BLAST Premier: Spring Groups 2023 event. It is no secret that Wiz was showing signs of increased progress in EG Black and made his mark on the North American scene before he joined the boys in blue.
In the first half of the year, EG made the decision to part ways with Tsvetelina "CeRq" Dimitrov, who had been a member of the team since the end of 2018. Since the beginning of the season, the team has been inconsistent in its performances and has had plenty of mixed results in the process.
As a result of EG's poor performance at last year's Spring Groups, they went on to miss the quarterfinals of the Spring American Showdown, as well. There is no doubt that the hype surrounding the NA CS:GO team is well deserved, but so far it has not lived up to its potential.
In spite of that, with wiz joining the squad, there is hope that EG will be able to change their luck on January 19th. In the first round of the BLAST Premier competition, the boys in blue will begin their campaign against Heroic in Group A.
List
There is still a long way to go for what EG could attain, but it is a start. To find the right style of play and to come together as a cohesive unit, the teams have a long way to go. The following is a list of evil geniuses: Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte Timothy "automatic" Ta Poor “HexT” Postma Sanzhar “neaLaN” Iskhakov Jerric "wiz" Jiang
