Indian sports review of 2020

India is one of the biggest nations in the world besides China, and it is truly phenomenal how many talented athletes are there, and how capable they are of the greatest successes in sports. 2020 was a difficult year for the whole world as well as for the world of sports, but Indian athletes have nevertheless shown as much as they can, and have achieved some of the greatest successes.

We will look back at the previous year and the Indian athletes, so we will present some of the major successes: Sania Mirza, despite the injury she missed, showed how ready and talented she is, and in the end, together with the great Ukrainian Nadia Kichenok, she won gold in the double.

Zhang Shuai and Peng Shuai were their opponents, but simply Mirza and Kichenok were much better and in the end convincingly won 2: 0 The Indian Fed Cup team The Indian Fed Cup team also showed harmony and talent, after winning over all national teams except China.

Football And in the world of football equally good news. Promising Indian footballer, Bala Devi, signed a contract for Glasgow Rangers and thus became the first female footballer to sign a professional contract outside India Indian hockey team The hockey team of India has risen to a much higher level than was the case.

Teams made up of young but also experienced guys showed character and achieved victories against great teams such as the Netherlands, Belgium and Australia

Olympic games

Boxers Amit Panghal, Manish Kaushik, Vikas Krishan, Ashish Kumar, Satish Kumar, Lovlina Borgohain, Simranjit Kaur and Pooja Rani were the most brilliant at the Olympic Games, proudly representing their country and winning medals.

Table tennis The biggest success for Table tennis was achieved by Achanta Sharath Kamal, who after 2010 won his first singles title. He played great, showed great mental strength and in the end deservedly took the win Wrestling 19-year-old Anshu Malik won silver in her category and given her age we have no doubt that gold will come soon These are roughly some of the basic successes although there are still many successes that Indians have achieved in the world of sports.

It is obvious that Indian sport is advancing more and more, and that it is necessary and much more money is invested in young talents and in sport in general. There is a huge perspective and a lot of young talent, and therefore we can rightly say that India has a bright future.
