Frank Mir and Kubrat Pulev will lead a specific Triller show

An interesting event will be organized by Triller at the end of this month, on November 27th. The martial arts event in Texas will be held according to a special set of rules. Namely, the fights will have a certain combination of MMA and boxing rules, and the fighters will perform in a ring that will be triangular in shape.

Rounds should last a maximum of two minutes. Kicks like in boxing will be allowed, while kicks and elbow kicks are prohibited. However, clinching and hits from clinching will be allowed, that is, the referees will not separate the fighters in these situations, as is the case in boxing.

The program of the event is full of interesting names, both from the MMA world and from the world of boxing. Namely, in the main fight of the evening, former UFC heavyweight champion Frank Mir will perform, and his opponent will be renowned Bulgarian boxer Kubrat Pulev (28-2-0).

This will not be a boxing debut for Mir because in the fourth month of this year he was defeated by Steve Cunningham. Kubrat Pulev, on the other hand, has not performed since December last year, and then by a unanimous decision, he lost to Anthony Joshua.

Prior to the aforementioned defeat, Pulev had eight wins in a row, and Vladimir Klitschko along with Joshua is the only boxer to beat Pulev in his 30 professional boxing appearances. The match between Mir and Pulev with dominantly boxing rules seems like a pretty "mismatch".

In the title fight of the evening, Matt Mitrione will face American boxer Alexandre Flores (18-3-1). Former UFC and Bellator fighter Matt Mitrione was fired from Bellator this summer after five matches without a win. He has no boxing experience, and a fairly experienced Flores is waiting for him.

The 31-year-old has over 20 professional boxing matches and has boxed (and lost) to names like Joseph Parker, Charles Martin, and Luis Ortiz.

Mike Perry also found his place at this show. Recently, this controversial fighter broke off cooperation with the UFC and signed for the BKFC.

However, the contract with the strongest bare-knuckle promotion allows him to perform under the auspices of other organizations as well. Perry will fight against Sakio Taurus (35-7-3) on the other side of the ring. The 42-year-old Cameroonian-Australian boxer once held the WBC super-middleweight title, and in 2006 he also had the opportunity to box against the great Joe Calzaghe but was defeated by a unanimous decision of the referees.

Taurus did not perform in the period from 2017 to the third month of 2021, but on March 31 this year he celebrated against Sam Soliman. He is a once very dangerous boxer and Perry has an extremely difficult task ahead of him, regardless of the fact that his opponent is 42 years old. Fighters like Albert Tumenov and Derek Campos will also perform at this event
