Gokhan Saki returns to Glory and performs soon

The great news is coming from Glory. Namely, the legendary kickboxer Gokhan Saki (81-16-0, 1 NC) is returning to the ring of one of the biggest kickboxing promotions in the world. The news has been confirmed on Glory's official website, and the return of Gokhan Saki will take place on October 23 at the Glory Collision 3 event.

The event was supposed to be led by a fight between Rico Verhoeven and Alistair Overeem, but "Reem" had to cancel the performance due to injury. Gokhan Saki's opponent has not yet been confirmed. The 37-year-old "Rebel" became the champion of Glory's light heavyweight category in 2014, also winning a tournament in the light heavyweight category.

However, that win against Tyrone Spong was also Saki’s last appearance for Glory. Rebel didi just one more kickboxing match after that, but under the auspices of the GFC event (2015). In 2017 and 2018, we had the opportunity to watch Saki in MMA.

The legendary Dutch-Turkish fighter was given the opportunity to perform in the UFC, but there he recorded a half success (1-1) and after that, we no longer had the opportunity to watch him in the arenas. Gokhan is now back on the big stage at the age of 37 and with 98 kickboxing matches, and we will be looking forward to seeing who his opponent will be.

By the way, Saki confirmed the return on his Instagram profile, and among other things he wrote: "On 23 October I will make my comeback at Glory kickboxing. "You guys wanted it, now you got it. I’m looking forward to see all my supporters at #COLLISION3 Let’s make new memories together.

The show must go on." "Great work by Glory and my management for making this happen short notice. Ali Fardi, Pierre Andurand, Robbie Timmers, and Scott Rudmann (ps: Scott I’m humbled by the kind words in the media) "Keep watching my social media for more updates.

My team, upcoming opponent, trainings etc will follow soon. Appreciate you guys. Speak to you soon. Respectfully Saki" Glory does a really good job when it comes to heavier categories. Freshly brought acquisitions like Alistair Overeem and Gokhan Saki are proof of that.

Maybe a spectacular heavyweight tournament is being prepared, but such information is just speculation for now. It is currently unknown in which category Gokhan Saki will perform. In any case, it will be exciting to follow the fights in Glory
