Secretly, Tommy Fury has been struggling with great pain for about four years. Now he ended up in the hospital. Fury has spoken about his injury problems before, but not about this one. The fact is that Tommy could no longer give his best or train as before because of the injury. He realized that surgery was the only option for him.

This 24-year-old boxer announced today on Instagram. He posted a photo from his hospital bed and explained what it was all about.

It is interesting that this young boxer never wanted to talk about his injury, and bravely endured the pain. Fury did not want to look for excuses for a bad performance or a possible defeat. However, when you feel extreme pain, then surgery is the only option for you.

"Since 2019 I have been dealing with a hand injury that I’ve never spoken about/shared online. Since my third professional fight, I have been trying to manage this injury, training and fighting through extreme pain which led me to often not being able to use my right hand at all. For the last four weeks of my last camp, I trained solely with my left hand until fight night. "

Tommy Fury shares his expectations

Fortunately, the surgery was successful. After fully recovering, Fury will have a chance to show his qualities again. He is looking forward to the next challenges and believes that 2024 will be great for him.

"This morning I underwent the surgery I’ve been putting off for years as I know this is the only way my hand will heal and that I can move forward with my boxing career. I’m excited for my recovery journey and so ready to be back feeling and giving 100% in 2024"- he wrote on Instagram.
