The MMA x Boxing crossover has taken an unexpected jump! Until now, the fight between Anthony Joshua and Francis Ngannou was just verbally spreading around, but now the news is official: Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua are set to clash against each other for a heavyweight bout on 9th March.

Their fight will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

No one expected this fight to materialize this quickly, as Ngannou repeatedly mentioned making his PFL debut in March, but since his fight with Anthony Joshua has been announced, his PFL debut will now take place in the second half of 2024.

After seeing Francis Ngannou unleash his limitless boxing potential, the world will not underestimate him for his fight against Anthony Joshua. Unsurprisingly, many fans and boxing experts now believe that Ngannou has what it takes to annihilate Anthony Joshua and claim a win in dominating fashion.

Financially, both fighters are going to secure handsome fortunes. Ngannou took the best risk by entering the boxing world as it has rewarded him abundantly, and it is just the beginning. There’s a lot more to come.

Press conference date

The kick-off press conference is almost a week away, the promotion for this fight will be done on 15th January in London.

On the official records, Francis Ngannou is 0-1, even though people thought he won against Tyson Fury. It will be fascinating to see if he can balance his professional record by beating one of the greatest heavyweight boxers in current times.

A win for Anthony Joshua may not turn out to be that rewarding as his fans were eagerly waiting for him to share the ring against a top level opponent. However, the task ahead is far from easy, and it would be very unfair to label this a ‘one-sided’ fight, especially after seeing what Ngannou did to Tyson Fury.
