It would be absolutely incorrect of anyone to assume that Francis Ngannou’s boxing appearance was a one-time thing, as Ngannou is going to hang around amongst the top boxing contenders for a long time. Ngannou made the heavyweight champion Tyson Fury look like an amateur.

After witnessing an unexpected performance, boxing experts believe Francis Ngannou can easily beat some of the well-known heavyweight boxers like Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua. Interestingly, Francis Ngannou recently revealed that there is an ongoing discussion with Deontay Wilder’s team to fix a match in the PFL.

Since the results of Francis Ngnnaou vs Tyson Fury weren’t convincing enough for people, a rematch can surely be expected. Ngannou wants an immediate rematch but Fury won’t be able to participate in a rematch as he has to face Oleksandr Usyk next on 17th February.

Perhaps the rematch between Fury and Ngannou could take place in the second quarter of 2024.

Francis Ngannou on who he prefers to fight

Recently on Brian Custer’s The Last Stand Podcast, Francis Ngannou shared his thoughts on who he is hoping to fight next.

“I prefer to fight only the top fighters,” Ngannou said, as quoted by “Why did I fight Tyson Fury? Because he is the top of the game, I wanted to get in there at the top and I want the best. I want the big fights, the big show, I want everything big.

Ngannou further said: At the end of the day, it is a sport, we do what we have to do .The conversation of a mixed-rules fight with Deontay Wilder [in the PFL] is true, because even before this fight [with Tyson Fury], we have been having discussions. My team said that they received a text message from Eddie Hearn and I think that’s all”.
