It looks like we will see a rematch between Nate Diaz and Jake Paul. Nate Diaz told the YouTuber that he wants a boxing rematch with him on New Year's Eve. We remind you that Jake Paul challenged Diaz to a match according to MMA rules, but Diaz wants a boxing rematch first, so the third match would be in MMA.

The last match between them was relatively recently in Aug. 5 in Dallas. Jake Paul won by unanimous decision after 10 rounds. It was an interesting match, it must be admitted that Jake Paul was much better, and Nate Diaz entertained the audience by catching Paul with wrestling moves.

After the match, Jake Paul immediately asked for a match under MMA rules, but Nate doesn't want it until he gets his boxing rematch. Of course, Nate is an MMA legend who has beaten some of the biggest names in this sport, including Conor McGregor.

That match would hardly have lasted longer than one round because everyone who follows mma knows what knowledge Diaz has in jiu jitsu. Of course, there is also experience, so it would certainly be better for Paul to make that rematch in Boxing, and then if he beats Nate again, to fight according to MMA rules.

Jake Paul claims he has good MMA knowledge and would beat Nate Diaz in the Octagon

It is not known for now whether this match will happen, nothing has been officially announced. Jake Paul does not have a contracted match and Diaz has been a free agent since 2021, although he has been saying lately that he wants to return to the UFC.

Jake Paul claims that Nate must not fight him in the Octagon, because Nate is a big name in MMA and then he would lose his credibility and everyone would laugh at him.
“I think it’s too big of a risk, right?” Paul said.

“$10 million, but if he loses to me it’s legacy. He’s going to get made fun of and he felt the power. I don’t think he could take me down. It’s kind of a lose-lose situation for him. That’s why behind the scenes on the business side of things, he’s making outrageous number claims and negotiations and wanting such unrealistic things. It’s like Nate is ducking me”. as quoted by MMAJunkie
