Usyk wants to fight for the title against Furry

After recording a win in a long-awaited match against Derek Chisora, Oleksandr Usyk defended his position as the world’s first challenger to the WBO. That would mean that Anthony Joshua has an obligation to defend the title against the Ukrainians, and the organization has already announced that they will call on him to fulfill his obligations.

On the other hand, Joshua will defend his three titles in the match against Kubrat Pulev next month, after which he hopes to meet Tyson Fury, which according to the agreement should be at least two. It seems that in the end he could find himself in an unenviable situation, that is, going to the match against "Gipsy King" could result in leaving one title, after which it would not be a match for the absolute champion, which is a goal for both sides.

Confirmation that Usyk will also ask for what belongs to him according to the rules, ie the fight for the title, was confirmed by his manager Alexander Krassyuk.

Usyk will need a rest after hard preparations and a hard match, so he will regain his strength and mentally prepare for the next match.

"Usyk has gone through eight months of hard work and hard preparations for the match against Derek Chisora. Now is the time to stop a bit, rest your body and relax your thoughts," Krassyuk told Sky Sports, turning to plans for the next match: "We believe he will be ready to return in April and hopefully Joshua will be there, ready to honor his obligations to the WBO.

If not, we will fight for the vacant title against a challenger chosen by the WBO." Another WBO challenger ranked boxer is Daniel Dubois. He has a match against Joe Joyce ahead of him this weekend, after which a lot of things at the heavyweight top should get started.

The match between Joshua and Pulev is also important for the continuation of the combination, and it is not yet known whether Fury will have to play the third match against Deontay Wilder, which he claims is no longer conditional on his contract and he is free to fight whoever he wants.

We still don't know who will be such a fighter, but it is certain that it will be very difficult for him to fight Furry and that he will have to prepare well.
