Zhilei Zhang was able to achieve a victory over Joe Joyce a few months ago. Tomorrow's rematch is attracting a lot of attention. It is difficult to predict who will win in the end, but judging by the statements of both, it seems that they have never worked so hard for a match.

Joyce emphasized at the press conference that he had prepared a lot for this challenge. “This is very serious stuff,” Joyce said, as quoted by! “I’ve trained seriously for this. It’s about time I get my success and move on from this.

It’s going to be a great fight. I’m looking forward to getting the victory on Saturday night”. Joyce emphasized that his team and he made many mistakes preparing for the last match. Therefore, now they wanted to change those things and prepare in the best way.

Joyce made many small corrections, which he hopes will be the path to success! "It exposed a lot of mistakes that me and the team made in the camp,” Joyce said. “It’s about correcting those. Looking at the next fights - not overlooking Zhang - but we need to get those things right.

It exposed them and really made me focus and get more dedicated at what I’m doing. Improving and to come back stronger and grab that title back. It’s just small changes. A lot of small changes make a big difference and that’s what we’ve done”.

Joe Joyce and his weight

Joyce's weight was one of the main complaints in the last match. Joyce has been working on it, but he also believes that there are more important things to focus on. He has never been this motivated, and it will be very interesting to see if he can really beat Zhang this time.

“[The weight] was the sole focus of the post fight comments so it was something that I needed to correct but it was amongst a lot more different things and different aspects of the camp that I needed to build on. I’ve made sure that I’ve ticked every box.

Crossed the t’s and dotted the i’s. And try to not get my eye blacked. I think there was moments in there where I was starting to get to work but the eye clearly was starting to close. I threw more punches but he kept hitting me with the more eye catching, heavier blows.

They were very quick. He’s a good fighter. It’s a tough test but it’s something that I’ve really got up for. It’s a big test that I need to crash through. Or jump over”.
