Billy Joe Saunders may return to the ring this year, at least that's what is being said in boxing circles. Billy Joe Saunders suffered his first career loss against Cancelo Alvarez in May 2021. That was his last match and his first loss.

Since then, there has been a lot of talk, everything and anything could be seen in the media and on social networks. Many of his fans called him to come back and continue his winning streak after the defeat, but there are more who think that he should retire or that he has already retired.

Billy Joe Saunders may return in September or Decembar

There is still no opponent, nor is there any talk about the exact date of the match. September and his match in that month are being mentioned more and more. Eddie Hearn mentioned that he heard from his sources that Joe Saunders could return in December.

His return is almost certain, now we just have to see when it will be. “I liked what I heard from Billy. The reality about Billy Joe Saunders is he’s been a pain in the ass to me at times, I also feel like we’ve done a great job for him, I think he respects that,” Hearn told IFL TV.

“When I sit down with him I realize what an asset he can be to British boxing when he’s not misbehaving. I think he may return in December. I think a fight up at 175-pounds could be an option, and then down to 168-pounds for a big fight in the Spring, and that’s what we discussed”.

as quoted by boxingdaily. Billy Joe Saunders is 30-1 and is the former WBO super middleweight and WBO middleweight champion. He has defeated many big names, fans love him and are impatiently waiting for his return like the rest of the boxing audience.
